KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- Injured World number one Datuk Lee Chong Wei will be required to undergo follow up treatment on his injured shoulder following a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) report.
National Sports Institute (ISN) Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Ramlan Abd Aziz said following the MRI report, he had instructed physiotherapist Fadzli Mohd Salleh to start follow up treatment on Chong Wei.
"We need to provide him treatment and also decide on the type of activities Chong Wei should be involved to ensure he can continue his training and fitness level without straining his muscles or aggravating his injury," he said via a short messaging service (SMS) today.
Dr Ramlan said details of the MRI report and Chong Wei's injuries would be briefed at a special press conference at ISM tomorrow and attended by Chong Wei and his coach Tey Seu Bock.
