ISN's Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Ramlan Abdul Aziz said the team, headed by himself, would comprise physiotherapists, conditioning experts, video analyst, sports technologist and medical experts.
"10 of the experts will be stationed together with the contingent at the Games Village while the rest will be placed at the secretariats outside the Games Village," he told Bernama here today.
Dr Ramlan said eight sports science experts would leave to London today and would be with the badminton squad that would stay and train at the Bath University.
The badminton squad headed by world number two and former world number one Datuk Lee Chong Wei will undergo 13 days of centralised training in the Bath University, situated in Somerset, 156km from London, before heading to London on July 25.
The London Olympics will officially open on July 27 and go on until Aug 12.
Dr Ramlan said once the Olympics starts, five experts would be placed with the badminton squad, four with cycling, archery (2) and one each for shooting, athletics, aquatics, sailing and fencing.
He added that the arrangement and placement may be changed according to requirement.
Dr Ramlan said the medical needs and preparations for shooter Nur Suryani Mohd Taibi who will be competing in the London Olympics despite her advanced stage of pregnancy (eight months), would also be given due consideration.
Nur Suryani will leave to London on July 22 while her event, 10m Air Rifle, is scheduled on July 28.
Dr Ramlan said ISN had made the necessary arrangements, with the help of the Malaysian High Commission in London, in the event that Nur Suryani requires to deliver her baby in London.
