Olympic Council of Malaysia to set up TV channel for sports

The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) plans to set up a television sports channel to promote and develop national sports in the region.

Its vice-president, Datuk Roy Rajasingham, said the OCM is currently discussing with Peninsula Digital Sdn Bhd (PDSB) based here to obtain their cooperation to implement the project.

It will also hold talks with Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) and Astro for the purpose soon, he told Bernama here today.

The channel, which has not been named and will not be profit-motivated, will focus on national sports which will be transmitted through existing platforms.
